At Chhaap, every piece is handcrafted and made to order, created with love and precision. Since each garment is individually crafted, our policies ensure transparency, fairness, and respect for the process of slow, sustainable fashion. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.
Domestic Shipping
All domestic orders within India are eligible for free shipping.
Dispatch Timeline: Each piece is made to order. Please allow us 12–14 business days for dispatch. While we often ship sooner, this timeline accounts for potential delays.
Delivery Timeline: Orders are delivered within 2–6 business days after dispatch, depending on your location and courier service.
Courier Partners: We work only with trusted and reliable courier services to ensure safe delivery of your order.
Please note: As our garments are handcrafted, slight variations in color, texture, or print are not considered defects—they are unique characteristics of handblock printing and natural fabrics.
International Shipping
We proudly ship worldwide.
Shipping Charges: Calculated at checkout depending on the delivery destination.
Dispatch Timeline: International orders are dispatched within 10–12 business days.
Delivery Timeline: Please allow an additional 7–12 business days for delivery, depending on your country’s customs and courier efficiency.
Once an order has been dispatched from our studio, Chhaap is not liable for courier delays, losses, or damages. Customers must resolve such issues directly with the courier company.
Customs & Duties
All applicable custom duties, VAT, or import taxes are the sole responsibility of the customer. These charges are not included in the shipping fee.
We advise customers to check with their local customs office prior to placing an order to avoid unexpected charges. Refusal to pay duties upon delivery does not qualify for cancellation or refund of the order.
Order Confirmation & Tracking
Once your order is placed, you will receive an email confirmation. Our team may contact you to verify details prior to dispatch.
Upon dispatch, tracking details will be shared with you via the email address provided at checkout. We are happy to assist in tracking shipments, though please note final delivery timelines depend on courier services.
Change of Shipping Address
Customers may request a change of shipping address within 24 hours of placing an order by writing to us at houseofchhaap.in@gmail.com. Beyond this period, no changes can be accommodated, as production and processing will have begun.
Returns & Exchanges
We do not accept returns for change of mind. However, we are happy to accommodate exchanges under the following circumstances:
If you face sizing or fit issues
If you receive a damaged item
If you receive an incorrect product
Exchange Conditions:
Customers must contact us within 48 hours of receiving the order and send us the required images and videos at houseofchhaap.in@gmail.com.
The item must be unused, unworn, and with original tags intact.
Customers are required to self-ship the product back to us in its original packaging.
If the requested size is unavailable, we will issue store credit valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
Damaged or incorrect items will be replaced or exchanged at no additional cost.
Refunds
Since all products are made to order, we do not provide refunds except in cases of fulfilment errors (such as a missing or incorrect item shipped).
Approved refunds will be processed via the original mode of payment within 7 business days of initiation.
Order Cancellations
Cancellations must be requested within 24 hours of placing your order by emailing us at houseofchhaap.in@gmail.com. After this period, cancellations cannot be processed, as production begins immediately for made-to-order garments.
